About Us

We are an independent, not for profit, group of volunteer walk leaders, based in North Wales, who offer a regular programme of walks throughout the year.

The team are experienced walkers and leaders of walks from a wide range of backgrounds. The leaders’ experience ranges from a long history of leading walks with other walking organisations, to those simply with a passion for the outdoors and helping others to enjoy it locally. All the leaders are trained in first aid and navigation and meet up regularly throughout the year. We appreciate feedback following our walks, as it helps us to offer a range of walks that appeal.

Our Team

Sue Hibbert

Sue holds the MLT Mountain Leader (Summer) Award and NNAS Gold Navigation Award. She first got into walking through Girl Guides and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Sue is an active volunteer guided walk leader for Cerdded Conwy Walks, HF Holidays, and several other Walking Clubs.

Colin Devine

Training

I started leading walks with CCW in 2014 and for Trefriw Walking Festival the following year. I’ve also lead walks in Scotland, the Lake District, and the Peak District.

I love walking in beautiful North Wales and exploring new paths and places. I hope you make time to join one of our walks, they’re great!

I grew up walking in the mountains of Eryri and hold the Mountain Leader summer award. I am an Eryri National Park Ambassador and volunteer with Cymdeithas Eryri, the Snowdonia Society.

I strongly believe in the benefit that walking has on both your mental and physical health.

I’m a semi-retired NHS employee from North Wales. As a teenager in Old Colwyn, I had a great teacher who wetted our appetite for walking in the hills and the Duke of Edinburgh awards.

I’m keen to encourage others to enjoy safe and enjoyable walks in our beautiful countryside.
